I worked for Earl just one day. Not only did he not discuss any wage with me, I never even filled out any paper work in regards to hiring me. I worked for him at the Orton Plantation, I painted for 8 hours and primed doors for him, I never have been paid for this and and wondering if he does this to all of his employees. I guess the Labor Board is in order next. If you do hire this guy make sure he pays the men who work on your house. Otherwise you might be in Small Claims court with him, or even in Lien Court. Please be careful.
Before calling Mr. Earl Thompson i had the impression that all painters were drunks and people out to rip off every homeowner they did business with. Upon arrival it was obvious that my impression was incorrect. Earl was a very clean cut and educated man with extensive knowledge about painting; Earl had over 15 years as a representative of Sherwin Williams before making the transistion to painting. His estimate was clear and fair, about in the middle of the other 3 estimates i had previously received. Now i know why to not go with the lowest bidder; I got what i paid for. Extensive measures were taken to assure all areas not getting paint did not get it. The project was managed by Earl and Sebastian who spoke very clear and fluent english; Earl's painters all either spoke fluent english or were american as was Rob, a college educated painter who loves his work and is meticulous in his work. These guys spent an equal amount of time doing prep work as they did actually painting. Their work was flawless. I now see why they have painted for some of the wealthest and most affluent people in this area and on the islands. The clean up was incredible, our property was cleaner when they left! I would recommend Earl and his crew to anyone! I would even allow them to paint at my parents home unattended. If you have any questions please contact me for reference purposes.
