I had to get a P.O box here because my P.O(magnolia station) is totally incompetent. Very friendly, helpful staff. So far so good:)
I only receive mail every other day. It is a pattern of Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have a lot of mail. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I don't get ANY mail. My dad lives in the same neighborhood and has the same experience. It's like they hold our mail on purpose because they are under-staffed. Two rural carrier jobs are posted via USPS website. However, not being adequately staffed is not an excuse to not fulfill the OBLIGATION to deliver mail daily. Holding mail is unethical and slack. Delaying mail is slack. Mail is delivered daily (excluding Sunday's). Rocky Point Post Office needs to get with the program.
My mail is routinely delivered past 5-6 pm. Additionally my mail carrier will mark packages as out for delivery, deliver my mail without the packages, and then when I call the post office they'll tell me my packages are still at the post office. I've lived here for over a year and my mail used to be delivered at 2pm. Now I'm lucky if I get it at all. I am sick of the incompetent mail carriers and wish I could just get my dang mail. I am absolutely furious right now after not getting my packages, yet again. If I had known when I checked tracking at 9am this morning that my packages weren't actually "out for delivery" like they said they were, I would've driven myself to the P.O. and gotten them myself. Either hire another carrier or get it together, this is ridiculous.
Five stars for the actual office - Pat and the rest of the office crew are great, so I won't blame them for idiot route drivers.
Lived here 27 years and have always been happy with the service received at the Post Office and with delivery.
